Dear Cathy, Billy and Family~
We'll truly miss your Dad, as we did Peg......they were such kind and wonderful next door neighbors to us here at Higgins Beach. John was always so vigilant, dedicated about taking his daily walks, even when he had the walker, nothing stopped him...Steve adored talking with John then, about various sports. John visited Steve at SHS when Steve coached the girls' high school tennis team, then he'd head over to the sports fields to cheer on his granddaughters....

Sincere condolences to the Meader family. Mr. Meader was one of the iconic fathers from the Van Horn neighborhood. Mr. Meader was the “cool dad”. He wasn’t cool because he wanted to be like the kids, he was just a cool dad with such a great personality. I’ll always remember him delivering papers in the morning. He was part of the great memories that I have growing up in West Springfield.

What a great tribute to your Dad - He was quite the character on the sidelines of our Cathedral HS Softball games as our "Assistant Coach" What an amazing mind for the game - He taught his Daughter very well !
