Not sure what to say?

Marie, I had no idea that Johnny had passed away. I was looking on the internet for an address to inform him that my sister, Anne Scott Phillips Kittinger and her husband, Paul Kittinger of Fayetteville, NC had both died in September 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. I am so saddened to learn of Johnny's death, as we were the same age and grew up on the front porch of the Scott's house first in Mt Airy and then in Cornelia. I loved Johnny from the start and always will. He was a kind, gentle man...

Marie, so very sorry for the loss of your husband. From what I've read about him, he was a wonderful person. Sorry we never met. I had called his office last summer to try and get in touch with you and tell you that Larry Thompson passed in March(2018). He had just turned 70. Our son, Todd lives in Marietta and we visit his family often. I now live in Texas near our daughter and her family. My deepest sympathy and prayers for you and your family.
Wendy(Thompson)Tangen.

Our sincere condolences. Many good memories of growing up with the Meadows brothers on the hill.

THERE IS NO WAY TO EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE TO REP. JOHN MEADOWS FOR HIS SPONSORSHIP OF HR 146 THE NEW ECHOTA RESOLUTION THAT HONORS THE CHEROKEE AND THEIR GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS at NEW ECHOTA,CAPITAL Of THE CHEROKEE NATION. HE STOOD BEFORE 4 PRINCIPAL CHIEFS and READ IT TO THEM FACE TO FACE!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. His legacy of helping local governments will always be remembered.
