Not sure what to say?

Mr. Meehan,

This morning I attended the nicest memorial service in honor of Jack. The humor and quick wit that was a part of Jack, was also apparent in the words of his sons and his friends. The memories shared were a reflection of Jack as we knew him and as we will remember him. Bill and I will miss him.

Jack was a wonderful friend, we had many fun moments in the florida keys, and at the yacht club. Our prayers are with all who loved him.

I'm a friend of Rob's and had the pleasure of spending a bit of time with Jack back in our college days at Northeastern. He provided encouragement and guidance as we set out after college. His thoughts and suggestions on how to survive and flourish as a freelance journalist have really helped me along the way. Sorry for your loss.

Any guy who could live on a sailboat is my kind of guy.

Jack was an intelligent and warm person and a pationate civil libertarian to the end. There is a noticable void at "coffee."

To members of John's family I am one of John's younger cousins Jean (morgan ) Blackler I am Lawrence Morgan's (Johns uncle) youngest daughter I havent seen John for years but have heard about his great adventures at sea. He had a good life from the sound of things. Thats what family members can hold onto. Happy times
