My deepest condolences to the Meeks and Salinas families. I was heartbroken to hear the sad news. When our family moved to Gary, John lived a few houses away. He quickly befriended my brother and I and was our first friend in Gary. We were in school and played sports together. I remember John playing reggae on guitar. When he returned from the service we shared our Army experiences and I remember John talking about Olga and going to Jamaica. John was a true and loyal friend. May they all rest...
