Not sure what to say?

I was blessed with the opportunity to meet Mr. John just prior to his last days as a caregiver. Even though he had difficulty communicating due to his illness he still had his awesome sense of humor and a way of expressing with his eyes. Although I have only known him for a short time it was an honor and a pleasure to get to know and serve him. Mrs. Anne my heart goes out to you and I keep you in my prayers. I know he was greatly loved and will be truly missed.

So sorry to hear about John's demise. He will remain in my memory as a fine English professor of the "old" school, a man who truly loved literature.

I met John when I joined the Rice faculty in the late 70's. He was interested in film and I was teaching film production. A playful soul, he agreed to act in one of my films as a horse-backing land speculator in the Texas Revolution. I can still see him riding with purpose across a prairie astride a cutting horse called Crimbo. John was always good company and I wish him well on his journey.

Dear Anne,
My thoughts are with you and your family. How many fond memories and dear friends you will surely have to comfort you during this sad time.

So very sorry for your loss. Prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.
