Not sure what to say?

John is permanently etched in my memory, as I cannot attend a baseball game without remembering him and his influence on my teenage baseball years. Forever my mentor. Rest in peace, my brother. I pray we will meet again one day!

John was an influential influence on my teenage years. Helped me develop both my physical athletic baseball skills. You will continue to be in my thoughts & memories all the remaining time on this earth! God Bless...

I will always remember John as my baseball mentor as I grew up on West 106 St. in Cleveland. We played baseball & football on the street (depending on the season). I went on to make the all Senate baseball team while attending West Tech High and always considered Jack a driving force in my sports accomplishments. Miss you, buddy. God rest your soul in the place where there is no sickness, sadness nor sighing but everlasting life!....your brother in Christ, Dennis

eIt is hard to believe that my childhood sports mentor passed away 7 years ago. Memories of sports games played with him on the streets of Cleveland are still vivid in my mind (and have followed me my entire life). May God Bless. Rest well, my brother.

My sincere condolences to the family.

I am extremely saddened to learn of John's passing. I will always treasure my youth and the fond memories John and I shared on W106th street. God rest your soul, John.

So sorry for the sudden loss of your father and grandfather. It is hard to let go of the physical, but remember always the spiritual presence. Praying for you Russ and for you Amanda, Britney and Jonathan...

Rest peacefully in your recliner in the sky.....Goodnight Johnboy
