John and I served together only a short time in Mobile and Miami, and crossed paths many times forward deployed. He was always fun to be around and always made you smile. He is one of the good guys that will be truly missed, and yes I believe he did live the dream.

Dan and I were so devastated by your loss. We have just recently come to know you and your family on the weekends at the Lake.
