John Merchant will be deeply missed in the Village of New York Mills. He responded to emergency calls and functions for the New York Mills Fire Department right to the end. He made himself available for all duties around the firehouse, no job was too big or small. He loved the Village and often made suggestions on how to make our streets safer for the children in his neighborhood. John, you were the best God Bless.
