John Michael Messinger

I remember John at Christmas because he always chose such thoughtful and meaningful gifts. He really put time and effort into his choices and they were very much appreciated. I still have a beautiful leather journal and wind chimes that he got for me. He was a very special person as well as neighbor. I regret that we didn't stay in closer touch when he left his house on Pine Street.

I met John I think after Katrina. We were both involved with the neighborhood organization, BNA. We became friends and had many delightful chats . I even bought one of Marks beautiful photographs "Windows Chimney" that still hangs in my office. I saw John briefly last year and we had a chat but our lives had drifted apart. My condolences to Mark and Family

I met John in the late 90's when he owned a home on Pine Street uptown. He was a wonderful neighbor and we had many good times together with my sister, Rosemarie. I missed him after he moved and didn't see much of him in later years, but I remember his kind, thoughtful manner. Sincere condolences to husband and family.
