Valerie, I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. I had heard of his medical problems earlier but thought the treatments he was taking were working. You will be in my prayers .

John was always an advocate for all kids. He was willing to go to bat for the teachers who worked for him up here in Illinois. I will always remember his wonderful stories that he would tell. I will always be grateful for what he did for us and for the kids in Lombard, Illinois. Thank you John!

It was always a delight to run across John in Fairhope. Usually it was at the Fairhope Historical Museum. He always seemed to be upbeat and full of news. His dedication to the Baldwin County Master Gardeners will be remembered. We were especially grateful for his extreme efforts to make the annual convention for the Alabama Master Gardeners Association a success when it was our turn to hold it locally. His lovely home, his carefully tended gardens are a testament to his love of nature and...

Didn't know John very long, sadly. He was a kind and lovely man. Bless you Ms. Meyer as you celebrate and mourn his life.
