John J. Michael

Loudon, NH - John J. Michael, 70, of Loudon, NH, passed away of natural causes on January 20, 2025, on the property he lovingly called "Michael Mountain". He and his wife spent many years of hard work and dedication transforming the woods into a home and sanctuary from the rest of the world.

Born on August 21, 1954, and raised in Concord, NH, John was predeceased by his parents, Wilson Michael and Gertrude Caruthers, as well as his sisters Lena and Mary, and a brother David. He spent many years working with concrete, first as a mixer driver and later as owner of "Country Concrete Floors and Slabs". He was also a logger, iron worker, and dump truck driver, and excelled at all of them.

He was a loving husband to his wife of 35 years, Luann Michael. John also leaves behind his children, Heidi, Tony, Lindsay, Corina, and Margaret, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He had a rugged, mountain-man style and did things his own way. John will be remembered for his authenticity, loyalty, and ability to forge friendships wherever he went. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched. He will be missed by many.

A memorial gathering will be held at Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord, on Thursday, February 20th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
