John C. "Chipper" Minott Jr.

I was very saddened to hear of John's passing. I express my deepest condolences to John's family. I had the priviledge of working with John at Unocal in Midland from 1984-1990. In fact, I sat on the other side of John's cubicle wall for the last three of those years. John was always the nicest, most level headed, even-tempered, and fair person. We kept each other laughing every day of work. We had "code" words involving aspects of our jobs, and just the mention of one would start...

I went to Bonham and Permian with Chipper and never remember him have ill feelings toward anyone. Always had a big smile. He was a good friend and a fine man. Monte Marshall, PHS class of 77.
