JOHN MITCHELL

Like John, I was lucky enough to attend Northfield Mount Hermon School (Class of 1978) for four years. My mother also attended Northfield School for Girls. After graduation from NMH, I attended Columbia College (Class of 1982), University of Hawai'i @ Hilo (BSN 1997), & University of California San Francisco (MSN 2001)...NMH announced today that John's estate just awarded it a $50M gift...this represents one of the largest single charitable donations ever to an independent high school...John...

John was an approachable leader at Pfizer back in the day. When leaders relate to colleagues at all levels, they leave a lasting imprint. May he rest in peace.

I knew John well from both Mount Hermon and at Yale where we roomed together. I learned never to play cards with him nor doubt that he would succeed at whatever he set out to do. Our class of 1956 at Mount Hermon took great pride in John's activities as a school trustee. Peace, brother!
