He was the best grandpa ever and I never wanted to see him in the state he was in

I remember John from a class at SCC in Keokuk and Burlington Iowa! I thought very highly of him and considered him a friend! I was very saddened to learn of his passing! John and I spent a lot of hours exploring the creek that ran between our houses when we were in grade school. He helped me change a motor in an old Pontiac when we were in college. Will certainly miss him and his sense of humor.

I will always remember John as the kind, helpful, fun-loving friend. Now, John, you can fish with Bruce in the BIG trout stream. You will never lose a fish there!
