Not sure what to say?

Love and miss you, Dad! Always!

Thinking about Uncle Jack today and sending love to my cousins.

I have just learned of Jack's death today from his wife. I am so sorry to have missed his memorial, and not to be around when my friend, Pat needed support. Jack was a wonderful, kind, funny and courageous man. He will be in our hearts always.

Although it has been years since I saw Jack, my memories of him are vivid. I was only about 6 years old when I first met him at WEWS - I was on Uncle Jake's House (Gene Carroll) and Jack always threw me up on his shoulders - that was 62 years ago. I got to see Jack a few times at the WVIZ auction and he always joked about not being able to get me on his shoulders anymore. I kind and gentle man - my sympathies on your loss. Candy Lee Korn

Laurie, I was so saddened to learn of your father's passing. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. God bless all of you,
Love,

Thank you so much for sharing the wonderful memories of my dad. He was loved by so many, and we will all miss him. He had an amazing and unique spirit that will forever live in our hearts.

I love you, my dear dad, and you will be missed greatly by all of us!

It is so nice to read all the wonderful memories everyone is sharing about my Dad. He will be greatly missed, but always alive in our hearts.

IN HONOR OF MY DAD...

My dad only weighed 2 pounds when he was born. That was 80 years ago- so the chances of him surviving were slim. But the doctors didn't know who they were dealing with. This was John Jacob Mader Moffitt, and he wasn't going out easily! His zest for life, his sence of humor, and his unstoppable determination lasted a lifetime.

When we were little girls, Dad would take Debbie, Laurie and I out fishing. We girls would only hook each other. I'd cast out...

Jack was such a class act! It was a pleasure to work under such a down to earth General Manager - perhaps the span of his working in the trenches helped mold his awesome personality.
I'll never forget his smile, that brocade velvet jacket he wore at the Xmas party, or the fact that he came in personally to deliver my holiday bonus to me when I worked midnights at WUAB. My sympathy to Jack's family - he touched many lives & will be missed.
