I am an Occupational Therapy student that had the honor of working with John during his stay at St. Luke's Hospital. John touched my heart and is someone that I will always remember. I like to think of him now free to (physically) do whatever he wants, with no limitations, and no discomfort. To John's mom, wife and Carmella, (and of course other family members with whom I did not meet) my thoughts and prayers are with you through your mourning. I am so sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,

Mrs.Monaghan,MaryTheresa, Lizzy, Carmella and Patrick,
In true McShane fashion I wait until the last possible day to make an entry into John's guest book. Mary, I feel like i have known your family forever. Everyone of you make people feel like they are a part of the family. Even though months or years can go by, when you reconnect, it's like just a day went by. John was the ultimate oldest brother. Taking care of the tasks that noone else wanted, watching out for his sisters and...

Ms Monaghan, Mary Theresa, Lizzie, Carmie and Patrick, I was so saddened to hear of Johnnies passing. He was my one true friend during high school. If my car was ever broke, he knew how to fix it! He could fix anything, even my broken heart after a break up with a boyfriend. Thats why I know he does not want us to be sad. We should rejoice in knowing that he is in heaven probobly surronded by old Dodge Darts making them run again! We prayed for Johnnies healing, but sometimes God answers...

I was so saddened to hear about John's passing. We were neighbors and friends at a very early and formative part of our lives, and I well remember the days we spent playing out behind the old farmhouse, taking imaginary trips in the old Ford Model T pickup; chasing Martians (we were sure they existed and were watching our every move!); putting together a circus (with Patrick, Carmella, Lizzie, Mary Theresa, and "Dixie") to entertain our parents; and gathering around the TV to watch "Dark...

John,
I will always remember you as a big-hearted, good natured guy. Always fun to be around. You were a great mechanic and were always working on you 'fleet' of cars. I know you are in heaven now. Make sure you have a beer with Schultzy and my Pop. God bless.
My deepest sympathies to Lizzy and the Monaghan Family.
