John Ancil Moncrief Sr.

John was my best friend when he was taken away from us so suddenly. I think of him often and remember how he made me laugh every time I saw him. I was not a Cowboy fan until Ginny and I became friends with he and Shirley. I became a Cowboy fan so we could spend Sunday afternoons either cheering or crying depending on how the game went. We also played poker almost every week. He is missed!

Happy 3rd birthday in Heaven Dad!! You are so missed!!

I have many memories with my grandpa. Here are some that I remember. Being able to go to breakfast with him at his favorite restaurant with my son just the three of us was something special. This one time that we use the hot tub as a bubble party that was amazing. I think my son picked up on how grandpa dressed sharply a lot of the time.

I met John with his wife, Shirley, eating at Smokey Bones where I and my husband were eating. My sorry, Shirley, YOU are strong and will okay. Pat Shultz
