John MOONEY

As a radiologist at SJH, I enjoyed working with Dr. Mooney, He combined high competence with an even temperament which allowed him to provide excellent care, not infrequently under conditions of duress. He was a credit to his specialty and a wonderful human being.

When Hillsborough County started its EMS service in 1977, John Mooney was there. His calm demeanor and approachability made him a favorite of medical students observing in the E.D. He played a big part in developing the quality EMS system that is in place today.

Dr Mooney was one of the brightest & kindest ER physicians I ever worked with. I will always remember his even keeled temperament. He will be missed by many. May his memory be a blessing.
