John David Moore

We were neighbors of John David in Michigan. He was a great neighbor and shared meals and Yahtzee with my parents and family for many years. My parents have memories of blueberry hunting with him among things. In my parents later years he would open/take down shutters for them. Gone too soon, he was a wealth of knowledge about many things including Mackinaw. RIP you are missed.

I have memories of John David training faculty to be able to grade Writing Competency Exams. We were both in Coleman hall but in different departments on different floors. John David did a great job training us. He had a calm, kind manner as well as a good sense of humor. I enjoyed running into him in Coleman Hall and at various events on campus. As I think about him now, I see his smile and his eyes lighting up. RIP John David.

I´m so sorry for your loss. I worked with John David for many years in the English Department. He was always very kind to me and I appreciated that. May he rest in peace.
