John was a very kind, gentle and very informative person. Newcastle Fabrics was already a supplier of Designtex when I joined Designtex in 1971. He taught me so much in my 35 years at DT. If I had any questions or fabrics to see if he could make for us he would drive over almost immediately. He was always there for me. We went to lunch many times and he was very genius to me at the holiday season. He was a special guy who I will always miss. May he rest in peace. Jeff Harvey

It seems like just yesterday John and I were sitting and having coffee and talking textiles. Yet, that was years ago....when the mill was still in North 11th Street. I recall those conversations even today, the knowledge and information he passed along to me was very special ...and greatly appreciated. Thank you, John. You were a gentle and giving man. You are missed....

I attended a beautiful memorial and it reminded me of the loss that I and My family has lived with this past year. Daddy may your soul be lifted high into the heavens, I think you are a bright star shining down on us. I know your love lives on inside my heart forever. Miss you Daddy every day. You will always be a part of me.

I will never forget the knowledge and kindness you gave to me. Still miss our morning chats at North 11th!
