I have had the honor of knowing John as a colleague and a friend. John cared so deeply for people and worked so creatively and tirelessly to make the world a better place for people who were hurting. I was always in awe of how he could make "THE SYSTEM" work for people in need. I never left an encounter with John without feeling uplifted and cherished as a human being. What a gift he was to the world.
