Not sure what to say?

Even after all these years, Father Jack remains in our hearts. He was one of a kind. Father Jack counseled us and eventually married us. We love him to this day. We were married May 30, 1992.

We , Richard G. Mercer & Sharon E. Rabbitt, were married by Fr. John Morley in the Lady Chapel of St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC in May, 1992. It is because of Fr. Morley that we were able to take that step and also have the courage to adopt two children in 2002 and 2003. Fr. Morley was a remarkable man and priest. We remember him with much love and respect.

Fr. Morley witnessed our wedding in 1992 and we will celebrate our next anniversary in May of 2021. He was there for us at almost all of the important events in our lives. We truly loved him. He was perceptive, witty and a bit of a rogue (in the best sense of the word). Fr. Morely had a way of asking questions that got my husband, Richard, and I (Sharon) to arrive at the answers to difficult questions ourselves. We miss Fr. Morley often, but especially on our wedding anniversary....

I knew Father Jack over the last 35 years, he baptized my oldest child. I will miss his sense of humor and his many words of wisdom, a truly great man. You are greatly missed, you helped so many people in this world with you selfless acts and humor and optimism.. We will miss you more than you know..

I was an altar boy for Fr Morley 40+ years ago and have not seen him since he left St Peters in 1973. He had such a positive effect on my life back when I was a confused youth. Fr Morley took the time to make us feel important and had an ability to speak insightfully on our level. He truly was a gift from God . Rest in Peace, Father.

If it weren't for Fr. Morley, I wouldn't have regained my Catholic faith, have had the courage to marry my husband, Richard, have the self esteem to accept a new job,get through major illness and adopt my two children late in life. In summary, Fr. Morley gave me my life back many times over. Right now, while we are going through some difficult times, he is my inspiration to take it one day at a time with God first. It was prophetic that you gave his CD Successful Living away, last night. I...

What memories we had with Fr. Morley growing up in River Edge! Tony Bennett's appearance, waterskiing on LI Sound, serving Mass, discussing priesthood...all were made special because of this wonderful man of God. Fr. Jack you were, and are, a gift to us all. Enjoy your reward!

Rest in peace, Father Jack. I've missed seeing you at Mass and so I am glad to know you are finally at peace, but at the same time, we have lost such a precious gift. I will keep you and your family in your prayers, and I hope you'll also keep us in your prayers, until we meet again. -Moire

My family is so sorry for your loss. Fr. Jack was an inspiration to all. My favorite line of his was" sit back and let God speak to you for a moment" Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sorrowful time.
