Not sure what to say?

We were recently at the condos in Wrightsville Beach and that whole trip reminded me of a time when I was in high school, which would make this memory approx 50 years ago, and we were living a couple doors down the street from Gen Morris, and he asked me and my buddy Bill Pittman if we'd like to help him move some furniture into a new condo that he had just purchased. To the best of my recollection this had to be over in Ocean City (or maybe Rehoboth Beach)...Gen Morris rented a U-Haul and...

Heartfelt sympathies from Anne M Schroeder and Tom Schroeder

My deepest sympathies to the extended family of General Morris. When I moved to Wrightsville Beach, NC in 1981 he sold me a beach cottage (where we went to raise our family). He also held the mortgage- no background check, no papers...just a handshake. Will never forget. I owe him more than my start in Wilmington and I appreciate(d) his trust in us. A general and a gentleman. Tony Puente

Sorry for your loss. Could you tell me where he is being buried and when Gerry died.

The general was one of life's great people. We so valued his friendship and always admired his wisdom, wit, and charm. How privileged we were to have known him. Our deepest sympathies go to his family.
Rosemary DePaolo and Fred Wharton

My deepest sympathies are conveyed to the family of LTG Jack Morris who was a role model as a soldier to me and many others and a very close friend of the late General Alexander Haig. I will never forget the good times both these fine Generals and true patriots shared together in DC, Idaho, China and elsewhere. I was honored to be in their presence on many occasions. May LTG Morris rest in peace and may it be said of him "well done"! Woody Goldberg, Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army...

With our deepest sympathy. You will truly be missed.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Susan & John,

Your Dad was a friend and mentor for over 28 years. We will miss him terribly but will remember a life well lived. His love for Gerry and for you Susan and John was evident in every visit we had over those years.
Honoring his life is so appropriate and what a life it was. From a life as a lad in Eastern Md. to a graduate of West Point, winning the half mile relay championship of America, World War II in the Marianas, Meeting Gerry in war time, Service in Korea,...
