Not sure what to say?

Its hard to believe its been 10 years
since John went home to our Lord. There is not a day goes by,that I don't think about him ,working with him, listening to his stories and being a friend. I was just his assistant but I was a part of history, for those years. Traveling with him to his last trips on his Baseball Farewell trip was a true blessing. A truly great Man. Thank you John for the memories. Judy

I had the honor of working with John, for the past 2 years as his assistant. He was a wonderful man, great boss and friend, who will always have a special place in my heart. He was always working on many plans for his fellow man. Rest in peace. God welcomed him home, to rest after a life well lived.

We were sorry that the Coach and I couldn't take you up on your offer to golf this summer in Asheville.

We would have enjoyed it and your company tremendously. I was glad that I was able to make the stadium ceremony and be a part of the tribute to your lifetime accomplishments. . . . . .your nephew.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

John Henry Moss was a person I greatly admired. He had giant-sized visions and was able to lead people to join him in the work toward the fulfillment of these visions. I'm grateful for every opportunity I had to chat with and work with him. I already miss him. Thanks, Mr. Moss, for all you did to make our county a better place.

We will miss you in body but all of your efforts for our town, hospital, county, Gardner Webb University and especially Moss Lake and baseball will always be remembered. Thank you for all of your hard work. We will remember you as a great man.

To the family, I can only offer my deepest condolences. I first met Mr. Moss in 2008, we had been in correspondence much earlier, and he was a truly great gentlemen. His life is an example to us all.

To the family and survivors: I have known John Henry since 1963 when I first served as General Manager of the Gastonia Pirates of the WCL and John served as President. He was one of the most influential leaders in Minor League baseball and served his community as Mayor with equal dignity and leadership qualities unsurpassed by anyone I have ever had the priviledge of knowing and/or working with. May you now rest from your labors of love, Kings Mountain and baseball.

I will truly miss John, he was a wonderful employer and good friend. I will always cherish the moments we spent talking about the Lord Jesus and all of his interesting stories of his life. John in peace rest now you truly deserve it, I know you will truly be happy now that you are with Elaine the only love of your life.
