DeVane, John Murphy III
Entered Eternal Life on April 14, 2015 at the age of 66. Cherished husband of Diane (nee Gates) DeVane. Loving father of Jennifer Jean DeVane, Kimberley DeVane Lawler, and John Murphy DeVane IV. Proud and adoring "Bapah" of Natalie Lora Lawler.
Forever appreciative to the staff of the 6th and 8th floors of the Va Hospital where "grace exchange" happened with every encounter. We cherish each of you and so enjoyed your exuberant welcomes when we came for a return visit.
Delighted with his friendships at the Carpenter Shop Christian Daycare where he was known as "Bapah" to all.
Central to his life was his faith as a most devout Catholic. Anticipated his Saturday morning men's group at Lumen Christi which resulted in true friends who visited with him weekly until the end. Indebted to the spiritual friendships made at Sacred Heart School of Theology – his classmates meant everything to him as he studied Greek, Latin and Hebrew. John was a devoted member of the secular order of the Discalced Carmelites.
Always a grateful member of AA with 31 years of sobriety.
Professionally focused on global business development after 4 years as a commissioned Naval officer.
Family will greet friends on Sunday, April 19, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Feerick Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, at 10:30 AM at St. Florian Parish, 1210 S. 45th Street, West Milwaukee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in John's name may be made to the Fisher House, a residence for military families with a hospitalized loved one, 5000 W. National Avenue, Milwaukee WI 53295.

What can I say? John continues to Bless us all. John you are an amazing man and taught us so much. I thank God for you. I miss your laugh and your outlook on life. We will see each other again, but in the meantime you get to see and speak with my loving husband, Stephen. He was a trouper. John I am wishing that you were still here with us. But I get to read all these wonderful comments your family and friends have made. In doing so, you are still alive.

Thank you for the reminder of the anniversary of John's passing. Good friend from church and UNC alumni parties. John had a great sense of humor, was caring and always curious about seeking Christ. Miss him dearly and hope to see him on the other side of eternity. Hope his family and friends are doing well, while leaning on the Lord and the great memories. RIP.
