John Donald Murphy

John passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018. John was a resident of Frederick County, Virginia at the time of passing. He graduated from Port Jefferson High School, Class of 1946 and was a veteran Mr. Murphy was born in 1928 in Port Jefferson, New York, the son of the late John and Elsie Murphy. He graduated from Port Jefferson High School, Class of 1946 and was a veteran of the United States Army. The family will receive friends from 7 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Thursday at Fairview United Methodist Church with Reverend Laetitia Schoeman officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Port Jefferson, New York.
