Not sure what to say?

Jack Murphy was role model to me back in the´60´s in the Neighborhood strung along Memphis Avenue. Some tough guys, some more thoughtful and friendly...like Jack. I had the remarkably good luck to see Jack, thanks to Tom, just before Covid, at a poker game annual reunion of the "Hazellas" Bunch ...these were guys who I admired who were great athletes, friends , students, and all round good guys, like Jack. Nothing had changed over 60 plus years. Nothings Good humor, sharp jabs, a respect(...

Marie and Family,I was so sorry to hear about Jack passing, sincere condolences to you and the family. It was a pleasure to work for Jack, both as my Sergeant and my Chief, he was a great Policeman and was well respected, he will be very much missed. He did so much for me and I will never forget that, may he Rest in Peace, Respectfully,Patrolman Carl Port #22 ,Retired

I am so sorry to hear about Jack's passing. I knew him more as the father of my preschool students than as a police officer in Brooklyn. He was well respected and I know he will be missed. May God comfort his family and friends.

Rest in Peace Jack. You will always be remembered as the great man you are. It was my pleasure to have worked alongside you. We lost a great man. My sympathies to the Murphy family.

My sincere sympathies to the Murphy family. Jack Murphy was certainly a man´s man in every sense - May he rest in peace.

Jack Murphy was a friend of mine for over 70 years. He had a smile and warmth that could not be duplicated. We may never see the likes of him again. Mr. W.B. Yeats's poem comes to mind. " to old men playing at cards with a twinkling of ancient hands " " But he heard high up in the air A piper piping away And never was piping so sad And never was piping so gay "

Thank you for your very brave service to the BPD ! God bless you

Deepest sympathy, Respectfully, John Vrsansky, Jr.

I'm very sorry for all of your families' loss. I enjoyed working and talking with Jack at City Hall. May he Rest in Peace and in your memories.
