Not sure what to say?

Dearest Jack, for over twenty years, we were fortunate to have you and Elsie not only as our neighbors but more like our adopted grandparents. Your ready smile, quick wit, and loving nature certainly made you a favorite of our family. As the boys got older and left the nest, no matter where they were, they would always ask about you and Elsie, making sure that I go by to check on you. I know you are in a special place now and will be sitting in front of the TV watching the big games on...

Dear Aunt Elsie, CeCe and Jackie: I'm so sorry about Uncle Johnny. He was one of my favorite Uncles and though we didn't get to see each other very often all of you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss him so much. I remember telling him about Bob when you were back in Cedar Rapids some 29 or 30 years ago. I came back to C.R. from Chicago to see you and on my flight I met Bob and I told Uncle Johnny all about him. He is with Joe, Bob, Dad and Mom and many others now and...

Elsie, we are sorry for your loss. We both have pleasant memories of Jack which we will cherish. Be kind to yourself--

What a sad moment it was for me to see that John had passed away. I have such fond memories of this fine gentleman, as I was his barber for many years.
John and I had some wonderful conversations, now and then shared a joke, and I feel truly honored to have been able to call him "friend".
My deepest sympathy to his wife and family.
Sincerely, Bob Marks
