I was his Executive Assistant for most of that time. He was a remarkable man with remarkable leadership skills. I miss him greatly. Blessings to Jan and their family.

John was a great historian & story-teller. He taught me about our grandparents, Charles & Emma Bowmar, with whom he shared more years than I did. He told the stories with such passion and love for our family. I'll never forget them, or him!

I am so saddened by the passing of my cousin, John. He was so special to me as I had many wonderful (and humorous) adventures with him. I cherished his visit to New Orleans for work several years ago when we caught up with our memories. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
