Not sure what to say?

Rob, Randy, Andrea and Kathy,

I talked with Sandy last weekend and was shocked, then saddened to hear of your folks passing. I can still hear your Mom's laughter. Last I visited with her was almost 10 years ago. They drove out for a visit to Dads.
I'll bet its rare for two boys from grade school to remain best friends an entire lifetime. I know they enjoyed whatever adventure or project they took on together. Just the other day I was looking at photos from the Oriental...

Vern was a great guy and a very special person to my family. We are Thankful for all the days of laughter and sunshine that he brought into our lives. He will be greatly missed.

Vern and Jean were the most generous, kind, and friendly neighbors and are missed greatly.

Double B Ranch May, 2008

Vern always made time for his friends and family. He was never to busy to lend a hand or offer some good advice. He was my good friend, mentor and partner. I will have nothing but good memories of both Vern and Jean.

We will always consider National City, our oldest agent, as one of our best friends. Our condolences on the loss of your father and boss.

We took from Vern a lesson on gentle kindness and helping another. I am proud to have known Vern even for that very...

I wanted to send my condolences to your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Vern Meyers was very helpful to my early career in stock car racing. He came out of the stands after a race in 1972 at South Bay Speedway and offered to buy our struggling team a set of tires. We took him up on the offer and before long he became a major sponsor of our team. The following year, Vern helped finance the building of a new car and in 1974 we rewarded him with a championship at Cajon Speedway with our driver, Ron Overman. Vern never wanted his name on the car nor that of his...
