Not sure what to say?

John and Carol and their boys were my next door neighbors in El Paso, TX, in the late 60s and early 70s. I have countless good memories associated with John and his family. We had prayer meetings at each others' houses. I bought a canoe from him which he had used many times in the NM and AZ mountains. I went fishing with him up in those mtns! What a blast! In the early 80s, John,Carol, and Chris lived in or near Colorado Springs. Chris welded a front bumper for my 1960 International pickup....

Aunt Carol and family,
The times I remember the most with uncle John were the times he was working in the woods. I would get home off the bus, jump on my little motorcycle and go visit with him. I also remember the times I would go up on the weekends and have lunch with him. He was a great story teller and I enjoyed his company.
Today I ran a road race which was a fund raiser for cancer. When I started the race I told myself I was dedicating this race in memory of my Uncle John....

Aunt Carol,Ron,and Chris I am deeply sorry for your lose. Uncle John was a great man and will be missed dearly. I remember when I got out of the Army and spent a few days at your home in Colorado,
Uncle John and I built 2 Beautiful clocks that I still have to this day, he was such a good craftsman the things he could build were amazing. I display this clock proudly in every home I've been in.If there is anything I can do please let me know. Love you always Carl and family

My sympathies go out to Aunt Carol, Chris, and Ron for your loss. Uncle John will always have a very special place in all of our hearts. It had been quite long since i had seen him, but i remember when he had come here to Maine one time and brought back some presents for me and my two sisters. I had a stuffed roadrunner, and one of my sisters had a rattlesnake skin, and my other sister had a tarantula.(not alive, thank god haha), but those are memories i will still never forget. Keep smiling...

My dearest Uncle John,
Wow, I'm stilling having a hard time believing that you are gone to a better place, I will miss you so much!!! When we were stationed out in Denver, Colorado for 4 years; my family spent many weekends and holidays with you, I will treasure those times that we had together forever. You are an awesome man! I love you so much! Elaine

Hey Brother, I will always treasure the memories that you shared with us, and the time we spend together in Florida. The three days i stayed with you in Colorado are memories i will never ever forget. What truly stays in my mind is the day you ,Ken and Paul worked together to repair the fence the young bull damaged. You were on your hands and knees working with ken and Paul as if you were never sick and had all the energy in the world. You also made me realize that family is very precious and...

Uncle John will be missed by everyone who came in contact with him, wheather it be his family, church followers, or friends. He always had a smile on his face except the time that he was home varnishing moms new cabinets and I was home sick from school I think I must have touched those cabinets at least 3 times...on accident. With him being a proud carpenter and artist I can't say as a blame him for frowning after the third time. Sorry Uncle John it won't happen again is what I said after...
