Not sure what to say?

What an awesome man. He truly cared for St. Dominic Academy students and his daughter Ashley. I remember John correcting me on how to answer the phone at St. Dominic Academy to use the full name, Ashley sitting with me at the front desk while he would go get his mail, and always warm and friendly when ever my husband and I ran into him. I am so sorry for your great loss.

I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. I was a peer youth coach during his early years of coaching. I was the St Aloysius coach. Together with Pete Zampella and Mr Hnath of OLM plus others, John and I would run meets every spring (and eventually fall) weekends in 1977+. It was great fun for us and the kids. My career took me elsewhere and we lost touch, but it was great to read his love of track turned into such a rewarding career and the JC track scene doing so well. My condolences to all...

Rest in Peace John!

My prayers and thoughts and condolences go out to the entire Nagel family during this time of extreme sorrow for a true gentlemen in every sense of the word from Jimmy Pearl of Bayonne, New Jersey.

John Nagel was my track coach @ St. Paul's Greenville, JC, NJ. He mentored me throughout my track career at Hudson Catholic and college. John, Rest in Peace my friend....

I was in the St Paul´s Greenville team when John started his track coach career probably in 1977/78. I hadn´t realized how really young he was back then (only 18-19 yrs old from St Peter´s College) but shows how his dedication to coaching started very early. He went on to Coach St. Dom and I saw him at track meets while I attended Prep. I nothing but very fond memories of John. Thank you Coach and Rest in Peace.
