Dearest Lavinia & Family: We are so sorry to have heard of John's passing! He was such a loving, kind and funny man! We always enjoyed our times together! He will be greatly missed!May God help you with your grief! Love, JB & Jim

My grandpa's passing was a total surprise and shock to us all. He lived an extraordinary 85 years full of fun laughter and marvelous stories. He now joins my mother, his daughter in paradise, free of the pain he suffered these last few days. His giant smile is forever etched in my memory. All my love Grandpa, rest in peace.

Sending love and light

Dear Lavinia, Jason, and Charles,
You have my deepest sympathy on the death of your dear husband and Grandpa. John was the perfect man-handsome, witty, intelligent, loads of fun and ever so charming with a twinkle in those gorgeous blue eyes. He will be missed-this is such an enormous loss for all. John is forever in our hearts. Know that I am thinking of you and my prayers are with you. Love, Toots

So very sorry to hear this sad news. As a good friend of Sally's through our high school years in Mexico, I had the pleasure of seeing first-hand how wonderful a person John was. My thoughts and prayers are with Lavinia, Jason & Charles. Take comfort in that John and Sally are together again.

We will remember John for his quick wit, keen conversation and warm and loving ways. John's love for, and devotion to, Lavinia was very evident and a wonderful example for us all. Our thoughts are with Lavinia, Jason and Charles at this time.

Our Hearts and Prayers are with you during this sad time. May you find comfort in knowing that John is in Heaven.

Grandpa was a great man and will be remembered fondly by many. He was my greatest teacher and the kindest man I have known. I will miss those warmest of smiles, his bright blue eyes, and of course, John's lovable laughter.
