NEWBILL, Mr. John Melvin, of St. Stephens Church, departed this life on July 10, 2013 at a local hospital. He is survived by six children, Carolyn Newbill of Kilmarnock, Kisha Holmes of Ladysmith, Melvin Newbill of Newport News, Johnny Newbill of St. Stephens Church, David Newbill of New Jersey and John Holmes of Nottaway. The viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock. The funeral service will be Friday, July 19, at 1 p.m. at First Mt.
