John W. Newcomb, 55, passed away on January 12, 2022. Beloved husband of Angela M. Newcomb (nee DeNofa). Loving father of Trevor J. Newcomb and Kyle J. Newcomb. Dear brother of Maryann Ecker (the late Bryan), Suzanne Toy (James) and the late James Newcomb. John served as a Philadelphia Police Office for 16 years and was currently working as a Forensic Examiner for the Federal Government. John was a devoted and loyal family man and friend that you knew you could always count on. A visit with John meant leaving with a belly full of food and a heart full of laughter and love. His favorite way to spend his time was being surrounded with his countless friends and loving family, cracking open a cold beer and watching the Eagles play. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday eve January 18, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Philadelphia, PA 19137 and again on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 beginning at 9 AM at the funeral home. Funeral Mass 11 AM at St. John Cantius Church. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory to the Bridesburg Boys and Girls Club, 2901 Bridge St., Philadelphia, PA 19137 would be appreciated by his family. Not sure what to say?

Just made aware of this news. Completely shocked and saddened. I had not seen John in a few years, and was considering texting him to say hello. A total gentleman, he was always a great guy to hang around and chat with. Loved our convos at Oh Bryons. And a true family man in every sense of the word. My deepest condolences to Angie, Kyle & Trevor. I hope you have been able to find comfort in the wonderful memories. RIP John. A life too short, but certainly well lived.

Newc sure loved his boys and totally enjoyed their ballgames- I always enjoyed seeing him at our games and always gave us wonderful support..Coach Weiss

Angie and family,
