Papa John and Marianne Spurr.
My sympathy to Ranel and her family at the loss of this wonderful man. John had a quiet manner, strength of character and a wonderful sense of humor. He quickly became a "new father to my wife Marianne giving her that wonderful sense of being loved as a child. I will always remember his comments as to why the streets were so rough-"Because of the big trucks driving over them." I drive a big truck! Rest in peace Papa John-you are loved and will be missed on this earth.

Our heartfelt sympathy & thoughts go out to Ranel & family. Although Paul had met John back in 1969 when Paul joined the RLS Club, I met John in 1982. He always had a smile and funny comment to make; I kidded him often about his sunflower-seed "habit". His love of trains was so evident and it was fun to hear him & Paul talk about injectors, boilers, and etc. What fun we had when he took us out on his Steam Engine Boat one afternoon. He will be sorely missed by so many. We hope the family...
