Not sure what to say?

I think about John several times a week. I was mountain biking with wife in Nevada (we live in California) when I heard the news of John's passing. I am typing these words from Nevada as I am out here biking with my son, Ben, and on today's ride I thought again about hearing the news which of course led to a flood of memories about John. Our entire family misses you, John.

Leslie, I am so sorry to hear about John´s passing. I am quite out of the loop from all of the BG friends. My memories of you and John are precious to me. I have fond memories of John´s kindness and his clever wit. At our 20 year reunion John asked me if I had graduated with our class in 82´. I told him that I did not graduate at BG. I moved to Ohio my sophomore year. To which he quipped, "Oh, I thought you had mono."

I met John in 1995 and felt an immediate connection. His wit, kindness, subtle snark, interest in you and what you were doing were so appealing. Our entire family loved John, and loved when he would visit us in New Mexico. We are so incredibly sad but so incredibly grateful that he was a part of our lives. I found this picture of John and our then 3-year-old daughter, Lily. It brings back such fond memories. - Love the Otters: Dan, Mandy, Lily (now 25) and Ben

I am so sorry to hear of your loss! I worked with John at Cellular One, which feels like forever ago! We had such a great group back then and we had lots of fun times together! I will hold the memories in my heart forever! Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers! Melissa Hogan

Dear Leslie, My heart goes out to you in your grief and sadness at losing your beloved brother. God Bless you and your family at this time and always. May John´s soul rest in peace. Love, Erin (Reilly) Knapik

John was one of my first friends in Syracuse. We worked together at Cell One, he went on his path and I went on mine. We vacationed in Cancun, reconnected over the last several years and nothing changed. We didn´t miss a beat, He was always the glue that held our clan together. Always the person you could count on for adventures, life discussions, the one that would mediate if there was trouble amongst any friends. He was the thread. I miss him and love him so much. I am so greatful...

Please accept the most heartfelt sympathies of LeMoyne College. We hope the love and memories that you will forever hold in your heart bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

So sorry for your loss - I worked with John at Cellular One "back in the day" - he was a great guy and coworker. My condolences to the family.
