Not sure what to say?

Oh John, people walk in and out of our lives, but only true friends will leave footprints in our hearts. And that my friend, you have! Throughout the years, from high school, to commuting to our jobs in San Francisco, to the family we were as roommates and to the families we've created over the past years...WHAT A LIFE!! A life filled with a lot of love, laughter and truly great times. One thing I appreciate most: no matter how much time pased between our visits, walking through the door...

I met John when we were in the 7th grade. We had numerous good times over the next 10 years. I remember those two years when John, Kurt Becker and I would meet at John's house every morning before going to the College of Alameda, and then after school spending the rest of the day doing many other things.
John was one of a kind, and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Hunter and the kids.

While I came to know John first through his friendship with my son, Frank, I knew John better through the highly professional assistance he gave our family business with insurance advice. John was ever helpful and someone we fully trusted, because he put service before personal gain. Clearly he took as a guide the Biblical words "I came to serve not to be served." What a great guy! My hope is that his family will be comforted in their sorrow.

I'll alway remember getting kicked off the roof of Don and Anne's in Woodminster and playing in the field in back while we were at Joaquin Miller. Allan
I remember the cool, suave guy you always were and how you grew into a wonderful, devoted father. We send our love to John's whole family. Gail

John and I shared some good times at the Metropolitan Club and Sequoyah. His energy level always amazed me. Our deepest sympathy to Hunter and the kids.

John was a great mentor, friend and business partner. I will miss his physical presence, but will always carry a part of his spirit with me.

My brother and I meet John almost 50 years ago on Kearney Ave. We were the new kids on the block and John was staking out his territory. Just like dogs we fought and like dogs we become friends for life. What fun we had and you'll surely be missed.

our thoughts are prayers are with your family. john, you were a good friend and mentor, and i will miss your wit, amazingly resilient attitude and sage advice. i still have photos of the two of us in tuxedos from the father daughter dance of 3-4 yrs ago on my refrigerator door. you have never looked finer.

Marc and I send condolences to the family for John's departure. May the memorial be full of all the smiles and life that John so freely gave. I will remember him as the generous happy brother at your wedding, Christie and Stan. Many hugs, Leslie and Marc
