Jack would bring desserts for our Wednesday Night Supper outreach. He'd pull up and open the trunk and we'd unload a ton of good stuff. We're grateful to have known him.

I had the privilege a few years ago to award Jack La Madre de los Pobres' Father Boeddeker Award for Service to the Poor. No one deserved it more. He worked from pre dawn until late at night servicing the poor. I have a red shirt that he gave me. I didn't want it. Jack decided I should have it and simply wouldn't let me refuse.
