We'll miss him.

MaryAnne, John, and Lisa. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time. Pastor John had a profound impact on my life growing up. He made me the Christian that I am today. I have many fond memories of him. He will be dearly missed. I wish I could be there, but please know that I am thinking about all of you. I love you all.

Pastor John had a very profound influence on me when I was growing up both as a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church and as a close family friend. He was an amazing man and I feel honored to have gotten to know him so well. I will never forget the things he taught me (including his guidance on some practical jokes) and will always appreciate his guidance, compassion, and wisdom. We shared many laughs and I have many fond memories of him.

Mary Anne, John and Lisa: We are so sorry for your loss and our loss of a great friend and pastor. We shall always remember the good times we had with your family at St. Paul's in Grandville.

Mary Anne, Chris, Lisa, and your families ... I am so sorry to hear of Pastor John's passing. I know it's been a long and difficult road for all of you, but know that you are deeply loved, respected, and admired, and that Pastor's eternal goodness is reflected in all of you, and in those of us fortunate to know him. I had the privilege of working for Pastor John for five years and regarded him as a teacher, mentor, and friend. I was impressed by his Biblical knowledge as well as his common sense; his quirky sense of humor and love of practical jokes! He was a truly great man. Mary Anne, JC, and Lisa, I wish you God's peace and comfort, and many happy memories. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." (Psalm 116:15)
