John was an incredible friend to my parents, Richard and Dolores O´Hara and a friend and mentor to me when I was starting my legal career in the labor movement in NYC. My father and I were very sad to hear of his passing but as we talked about him for a long while , each story and memory brought big smiles to our faces. God bless John and Gerri.

I will always be grateful to John he was a true mentor to me during his tenure on the Board of Directors at HIP. He was always on the side of the underdog. He had a deep understanding of how things work in both business and government. Further, he was a loving husband , father, and grandfather.
