Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. O´Connor and Children, Sorry to sound so formal, but I knew your dad through my uncle, Governor Brendan Byrne. John was such a sweet man, who came to visit my uncle almost every day, while he was at Inglemoor Rehabilitation Center. John joined us for many a luncheon and he was always of great comfort to my uncle-who grew up in Tory Corners and attended Our Lady of Lourdes school. I´m only just finding out of John´s passing now, as my own husband was quite ill and passed, shortly...

Beaver, as I came to know him in the 1950"s as our recreation leader at Roosevelt playground, and later as John when we continued our friendship as adults was one of the absolute treasures for those of us that grew up in West Orange. His kindness rose even higher than his leaping ability. John will be greatly...

Was lucky enough to play basketball with Beaver at Roosevelt Jr. High. He played in work boots and still was the best. Thx Beaver. Ned Steiner

Wonderful childhood memories with "Beaver" as I knew him. A dear friend to my dad John Alviggi who since has passed. The softball annual picnics with all our Tory Corner friends go unforgitten! Beaver was an amazing loving person. He will be missed. My condolences Janet Alviggi Urso

Sandy and I offer our deepest condolences to Arlene and the family. John was a great role model for me as well as a mentor and coach to my sons. It was a privilege to know him. We are praying for the repose of his soul and for peace and consolation for the family.

Joe and I are so sorry to hear this news. We send our prayers to all of you.

So very sorry to hear of your dad´s passing..beautiful generation ...thinking of all of you( Mrs. O´Connor, Jenn, John, and Lori~ such a significant loss-sending much love.~Suzanne(Shiel)

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. I was so lucky to meet the O´Connors through my wife Darleene Brennan. I could not be more grateful to Mr. O´Connor for his influence he had on my son John Michael or as he called him John Mikey. Basketball was the love that brought them together. My son would always talk about him with the highest respect. I know he is already coaching in heaven. Love and prayers to all. John...
