Jack and I were room mates and best friends at Bates 1955-1957 when I left for West Point. I was truly saddened to learn of his passing. Jack was a dedicated patriot, kind and generous to all. The best basketball player ever, he made friends with everyone. The memories come flooding back but the words escape me now. Our world needs a lot more people like Jack O´Grady. Well done Jack, be thou at peace

I met John through Little Flower in Berkeley Heights and was saddened to hear of his passing. He and Betsy always were filled with joy and kindness. Please accept my prayers for your family as you cope with this great loss.

The carrier has turned into the wind preparing for your final launch. You are now relieved from your watch. A job well done fellow navy veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. The plank is mounted and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Smooth sailing shipmate. A Navy Vietnam Veteran.
