Dear O'Mallley Familly, I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. Years ago when I lived in Chicago, John' was always so supportive of my work and creative career path. It made a difference at a time when I was struggling to start a career. I still think of him quoting Thoreau to me - an inspiration to this day. Thinking of you all.
Love, Patrick Trettenero

To all of the O'Malley family please accept our deepest sorrow for the passing of a great great guy and a good neighbor, John. We haven't seen him in several years but he will never be forgotten.

Mrs. O'Malley, Susan, Ruth, Scott, Kelsey and John,
I am deeply saddened today for all of you. "Mr. O'Malley" will forever be in my memory as a kind, compassionate, loving man. I have fond memories of him bringing watermelon home in the summer for all the neighbor kids to enjoy while sitting on the sidewalk in front of your house. I loved his teasing and his ability to always make me laugh! He always treated me like part of the family and for that I feel truly blessed.I know he fought...

Susan,
I am unable to attended your father's wake but wanted you to know that Mark and I are praying for you and your family. God bless.

Tim and Jane O'Leary will miss John's soft and ever present smile as he reached out to many in his years at St. Cornelius and the Jefferson Park community. Jane enjoyed his friendship as a member of the 45th ward 35th precinct polling place. We also enjoyed times celebrating at SCOR Christmas parties.

Our prayers and sympathy are with you at this time.
