Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to Mr. O'Rourke's wife and family. I have many fond memories of him as my English teacher at Avalon High School. I came across his address in 2000 and wrote to him expressing my appreciation for the impact he had on my life. He responded in a letter with the statement, "Your letter made my day, week, month, and year. Thank you." We tried to arrange a visit since I make many trips to that part of Ohio, but our schedules never coincided. I am so glad that I wrote the...

Our deepest sympathy's and prayers are with you.

Dearest Lois, Children, and Grandchildren: I share your grief in the loss of your beloved John. He is truly in heaven with the angels now. May his peace be our peace. Now and Forever, with Love

Mr. O'Rourke at Avalon High School 1960

Mrs. O'Rourke and family,
I and many other former students (Avalon High School - Pittsburgh, PA) are sorry to hear of the passing of "Mr. O'Rourke". We wouldn't dare call him anything else. You should all know that there is an Avalon web site and the stories that are being told are fantastic. God bless you all. The education system and the...

Mrs O'Rourke and Family,

I met you and your husband at Kelly's promotion ceremony in Kansas City. (I am her secretary) In just that short time I knew what special people you were. I am thankful I had the opportunity to meet you both. I want you to know you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you all and be with you through this difficult time.

Thinking of you and your family...praying for God's love and peace to be with you all. With deepest sympathy, Mrs. Kristie Bryniarski

Dear Lois,

I extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family. I always considered Jack to be my friend and mentor with regard to the college football officiating. He was also a good motivator for me to tell stories to him so that he could bring them home for you! I can still hear him say, ""Allan B!" what do you have for me tonight!"

Phyllis and I are in Washington D.C. at a conference and will be unable to visit you at the wake. Please extend my sympathy to your Bowling...

Our deepest sympathy in the loss of your father. Praying for each of you during this time.
