Not sure what to say?

John was a friend to all especially to his fraternity brothers at the Phi Kappa Theta house in Rolla. Enjoyed playing bridge with a great brother who probably learned at the old Cow House aka Missouri Mu chapter. Last time we crossed paths was at the new house, when you were proudly showing it to your family. Rest in peace, brother John.

John was such a kind, warm, glowing person in my life and to those who knew him. John and my brother Gene were very close and did many things together. He was a delightful presence at my family's dinner table for many years. He was extremely versatile in his abilities and could design and build anything that his mind could create! His interest and love of family was always in the foreground of his thoughts. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. Although we mourn his loss;...

Dear Sue and family, Bob and I were so sorry to learn of your
loss. You all had a wonderful full life. Treasure your memories.

I got to know John in his last few years-still amazingly energetic and enthusiastic. He was teaching a bridge class, and started a bridge club at The Grande, and got me to start playing. He always had 2 decks and a score card in his bag. Always had a big smile, positive attitude, ready to engage. He loved to talk about his STL Blues, so excited when a nephew or his godson took him to a game. He talked often about his extended family, so excited to be Daddio, proud of his kids, praying for so...

I didn't get to know John until his last few years. He was amazingly energetic and enthusiastic for his age. He was teaching a bridge class, and then started a bridge club at The Grande, so he got me to start playing. He tried to get games going every day, and always had 2 decks of cards and a scorecard in his bag. He had such a positive attitude, and if you called his name, he would always have a big smile on his face when he looked your way, ready to engage. He loved to talk about his STL...

I didn't get to know John until his last few years. He was amazingly energetic and enthusiastic for 90 years old. I first met him when he was teaching a bridge class, and then started a bridge club at The Grande. I had never played before, but he was patient and encouraging to me. And he had such a caring heart. He cared about others and told us how he would say prayers for so many every night. He was obviously dedicated to his church and the Catholic school too. He had such a positive...

I was so sorry to learn that John had passed. I didn’t get to know John until his last few years of life, meeting him when he was around 90. He was amazingly energetic and enthusiastic for his age. I first met him when he was teaching a bridge class, and then started a bridge club at The Grande in the afternoons. I had never played before, but he was patient and encouraging to me. He was also a resident leader at the monthly meetings to talk about the status of affairs at the place, always...
