Not sure what to say?

Dear Oglesby Family,

I am very saddened by the loss of Mr. Oglesby. He was such a powerful influence on my family, and such a leader for me as a teenager and young woman.

He was so highly respected by my father, and so kind to him in his times of need. He had a great heart, a great sense of humor, and a brilliant mind.

This world is a lesser place with him no longer in it.

My deepest condolences,

Peggy, I am so sorry to hear of this great man's passing. He was so much fun to be around. He scared me to death the first time I met him on Southside in the early 70's, but probably 10 years later (once we moved to Riverchase) I thoroughly enjoyed spending break at 8:20 a.m. with him and a few others. We called it the 820 Club and always discussed the current week's viewing of "Hill Street Blues." What a guy! I hope you two were still extremely happy leading up to his demise.

Mr Oglesby was a very good man, and an excellent manager at BCBS of Alabama, where I worked for him in the 1970's.
I appreciated (and still appreciate) his kindnesses, understanding, wonderful humour, and his many other great qualities. I know that his family and many friends do and will miss him.
Peggy, you have my heart-felt sympathy for John's passing. In this difficult time, my heart goes out to you and your family for your loss.

I was saddened to hear of John's passing. I have many memories of him after having the privilege of meeting him in 1970 and working with him so many years. Everyone admired him.
Peggy, Frankie and Stacy, our thoughts are with you and we send you our love to give you strength to bear your sorrow.

Sincerely,
Hat and Ronnie
