i knew john from KR. he was a great guy. my thoughts and prayers go to his family

Although we went to school together, I was not very close to John, but he had always been so nice to me. He truly was a caring and compassionate person. Anywhere he went, he could always seem to light up a room. I am very grateful for John because he took my younger brother,Sam, under his wing. My brother looked up to him so much. I always felt better knowing that Sam had someone like John to watch out for him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had no idea what to say when I heard the news of John's passing. Shocked was the first thing that came to mind and then memories...dating back to Kindergarten. I remember our parents playing adult volleyball and Johnny, Patrick and I being told to "be good" while having enough toys to play with to keep any kid busy but we would run around the gym getting in trouble!!! I remember playing ball with Johnny and Matt Estep being the only girl but that never seemed to bother them. Heading up...

Mary, Newt and Kristin - our heart goes out to you guys in the loss of John. John was the big brother that Jamie never had. She spoke of him often and the adventures that she, Kristin, Kendy, Kelsey and Jenna shared with John. They had some really good times. Jamie loved John and loves you guys too, as does my whole family. John was always so friendly to us and had an infectious personality. We will truly miss him and pray that God will hold you tight in these difficult days. We love...

My thoughts and prayers are with the Oliver family. I was blessed to know Johnny for a few years of my life. I missed out on knowing the person that everyone loved and adored. But I knew full and well that he was going to be a very special person. I would have had the opportunity to know him better, If not for moving and losing touch. I will always have the memories of our youth. Baseball, soccer, swimming, riding bikes, football in the back yard. All of these memories make me smile. I...

It has been years since I heard John's name, but it brings back many wonderful memories. My brother and I spent many an afternoon riding bikes and playing football with John when we were kids. John was always a joy to be around and I am very sad to hear that he has left us at such a young age.

I remember the first time I saw John in December of 1996 I thought he was the cutest boy I had ever seen. I can still recall the first thing he ever said to me, “Do you have a boyfriend? Do you want one?” Classic John. With his curly blonde hair, penetrating blue eyes, sparkling smile and magnetic personality he stole my heart. Over a period of the next 5 years John and I loved and cared for each other deeply.

John taught me about unconditional love and loyalty. As I’m sure...
