Read MoreI met Dr. Oppenheimer around 1980, when we were both involved with the protection of the Goethals Bridge Pond, along with the Audubon Society and local environmental groups. John made an important contribution to the preservation of that pond, giving freely his time and professional expertise. He had another border collie at the time, Sundance, I think. Goodbye to a sweet man and a good person. Condolences to his family.
