Don Miner - John was a great friend. We joined the army together, but due to bronchial issues he could not go. My brave friend always hosted me when I returned. I miss him greatly!

Well, John, this dance is over and we sure have had a lot of fun. I hear there is a big dance party coming soon, will you save some room for your friends on the dance floor? We'll all be there soon enough! Rest in peace til then, my friend! Dennis.

I was saddened to hear of John's passing, he was a friend whose company I enjoyed, though I have not seen him in awhile.
My deepest condolences to the family.

To the Ormond family. My aunt Noney Forkan lived a couple of doors down from the Ormonds when they lived on Yamhill. John was the first child born to James & Margaret Ormond in Waterford, Ireland spending his early years surrounded by family. John along with his parents, brother Joe & sister Bridget immigrated to Oregon in 1952, where he spent the remainder of his life in the Portland area going to school, working & developing lifelong relationships. I have so many memories of dancing with John and hanging with Dennis Chapman and Darrell Tracer. John will always live on in my heart.
